İngiltere’de konut krizi sürüyor. Londra’da 130.8 milyar sterlin değerindeki 87 bin 731 konutun boş olduğu ortaya çıktı. Ortalama konut fiyatı 1.49 milyon sterlin olan Londra, İngiltere’de en fazla boş konuta sahip kent oldu.

Express’in haberine göre, söz konusu istatistik CIA Landlord Insurance adlı sigorta şirketinin araştırmasında yer aldı. İngiltere’deki konut krizini ele alan sigorta şirketi, aynı zamanda terk edilmiş endüstri bölgelerindeki durumu da inceledi. Şirket, bu bölgelerde imarın hangi kentler için faydalı olacağını masaya yatırdı.
Araştırmaya göre, Londra’nın ardından Bournemouth geliyor. Bournemouth’taki 7 bin 213 boş konutun değeri 3 milyar sterlin olurken, ortalama konut fiyatı da 414 bin 624 sterlin olarak açıklandı.

Konut krizini en ciddi şekilde yaşayan kent ise Liverpool. Krizle mücadele edilmesi için 466 bin 626 konut gereken kentte şu anda kayıtlı 233 bin 867 konut bulunuyor. Bu da 232 bin 759 konutluk bir açığa işaret ediyor. Liverpool’u 135 bin 201 konut eksikliğiyle Leicester takip etti.
Fazla konut bulunduran kentlerin arasında Londra ve Bournemouth’un yanı sıra Leeds yer aldı. Her bir kentte 100 bin ve üzeri konut boş durumda.

Glasgow’da da durum parlak değil. Araştırma, Glasgow’daki konut azlığının yüzde 86’sının boş konutlara yerleşilirse çözülebileceğini ortaya koydu. Söz konusu istatistik, boş ev sorunun çözülmesinden en fazla fayda görecek kentin Glasgow olduğu anlamına geliyor. Portsmouth’ta ise bu oran yüzde 20.53 olarak ölçüldü. Portsmouth’ı Coventry, Birmingham ve Plymouth takip ediyor.
CIA Landlord Insurance’a göre, Coventry’deki terk edilmiş endüstri bölgelerindeki potansiyeli en yüksek seviyeye çıkarmak kentteki konut krizine ciddi ölçüde yardımcı olabilir. Bu durumda, kentteki konut azlığı yüzde 73 oranında azalıyor. Plymouth, Nottingham ve Portsmouth’taki krizler de söz konusu bölgeler kullanılırsa en az yüzde 30 azalma gösterebilir.
