Ge\u00e7mi\u015fte b\u00fcy\u00fck depremler \u00fcretmi\u015ftir. 1414, 1717 ve 1835\u2019de depremlerin \u015fiddeti yer yer VIII olmu\u015ftur. 1717 depreminde 8 binden fazla insan \u00f6lm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. 1835\u2019de 1000\u2019den fazla insan\u0131n \u00f6ld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc s\u00f6ylenir (Anadolu Gaz.).
